SwimCues 1.2

SwimCues offers a comprehensive compilation of swimming technique cues accompanied by animations for each of the four competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. The application enables users to select a specific stroke and view a biomechanical model demonstrating optimal technique, facilitating visual understanding.

The program provides an organized list of visual and kinesthetic cues aimed at assessing and refining swimming movements. These cues are categorized by stroke as well as by arm, head, and leg motion, and are synchronized precisely with the corresponding stroke animations to enhance clarity.

Navigation within the app is streamlined by horizontal swiping to change perspectives: front, side, top, and bottom views. A play button located at the bottom of the screen controls animation playback, complemented by single-frame forward and backward buttons for detailed frame-by-frame analysis.

Users can select a stroke and then choose specific cues or phases related to arm, head, or leg positioning and movement. Upon selecting a stroke and a particular skill or cue, the app presents targeted instructions designed to assess and refine individual aspects of swimming technique. These cues serve as practical tools for swimmers to make precise modifications for improved efficiency and speed.

Additionally, each cue includes a link to relevant scientific research or supporting evidence, offering an evidence-based approach to technique improvement.
